Dear Computer User,

You're here because something has gone wrong with your desktop or laptop. Maybe it's just suddenly stopped working, or perhaps you'd just like to get more out of your system. Whatever the problem, I'm your geek for computer repairs!
With my personal service, your computer will work faster and be more efficient. With my advice and support, hopefully, we can avoid any more problems in the future.

Sound good? Read on...

1. What can you fix?
  • Microsoft Certified Windows (Including: Windows 11, 10, 8, 7, Vista, Windows XP)
I am certified by Microsoft to provide desktop and laptop support service for all versions of Windows. That means I can perform essential maintenance, restore and repair Windows, update Windows, install upgrades, perform virus removal, remove harmful spyware, and troubleshoot Microsoft applications like Word and Outlook. With Windows 10 nearing the end of its life, I can upgrade your computer to Windows 11, even if it's not officially supported, and make sure things are not too different than before.
  • Desktop PCs I can work on all makes and models of desktop PCs. That includes Dell, Toshiba, Fujitsu, Packard Bell, HP (Hewlett-Packard), IBM, Acer, Sony, Compaq Presario, Asus desktops, Lenovo, Samsung, Mesh and more! So if you have a slow desktop, or it's too loud, or you need an SSD installed, or the desktop won't boot up, or the hard drive doesn't work, or your desktop overheats, or your desktop has a virus, or you need data recovery on a desktop, or you would like a desktop PC upgrade, contact me now.
  • Laptop repair service Laptops I can work on all makes and models of laptops. That includes Dell, Toshiba, Fujitsu, Packard Bell, HP (Hewlett-Packard), IBM, Acer, Sony, Compaq Presario, Asus laptops, Lenovo, Samsung, Mesh and more! So if you have a slow laptop, need an SSD upgrade, or the laptop won't start, or the keyboard doesn't work, or the DVD drive won't work, or your laptop overheats, or your laptop has a virus, or you need data recovery on a laptop, or you would like a laptop upgrade, contact me now.
  • Hardware I am also experienced in the installation and repair of hardware for your desktop or laptop. I can troubleshoot and repair your computer's memory (RAM), hard drive (data recovery), external hard drive, solid state hard drive (SSD), processor (CPU), motherboard, video/graphics card, power supply unit (PSU), keyboard, sound card, CD drive, DVD, mouse, modem, router, and USB devices. If your system has run out of space, I can provide more disk memory for your pictures, documents, and music.
  • Data Recovery If your hard drive has died, or you accidentally deleted your files and folders, I am your first port of call for affordable data recovery. There is no need to go rushing to "hard drive specialists" when most of the time a "dust free room" is not required. I will salvage as much data as possible from your dying hard disk. In the event I cannot recover your files, I won't charge you a penny and you can at least be satisfied that you've exhausted all options before spending an arm and a leg for a recovery service lab.
Unlike other data recovery services, I cap my offsite data recovery (where I take your hard drive away to work on) at a maximum price of £180. (typical costs are £60-£120 depending on complexity)
  • Virus removal service Internet & Virus Problems I can set up your broadband or wireless (WiFi) network, replace your old modem with a fast wireless router, connect multiple PCs to each other, and secure your network against intruders. If you don't already have an anti-virus program, I will set up the best one available for you and run a full scan on your computer. Whether you have one PC in your sitting room or a small business network, I'll make sure your system is protected.
  • Confidentiality Your data is completely safe with me. I will never make copies of data unless you authorise it and I will never keep any copies that are made. Any CDs or DVDs I make will be yours to keep. I never, ever keep copies of my client's data, unlike some companies. I will also never access any files on your computer without your permission, so your privacy is assured.
  • Remote Support Sometimes you might have a small computer problem that wouldn't be worth spending too much on, that's where I can help you remotely! As long as you can still get online with your computer, I can use my techno wizardry, remote control it, and sort out that annoying issue. It's completely safe: you can watch what I do and once disconnected, it's impossible to reconnect to your computer.
I can only see your screen when YOU click 'Allow'. I cannot access your computer without your permission. I charge £30 per half hour, or £15 for quick fixes under 15 minutes and you can pay via bank transfer or PayPal after the job is done.
Please note: There are a few things I can't fix. These include: laptop power connection/jack, broken hinges, tablets and phones, servers/workstations, Chromebooks, faulty graphics cards, and I currently do not support Apple products.

4. How Does It Work?

I understand that inviting someone into your home can feel a bit daunting. Here's exactly how the process works, so you know what to expect:

  1. 1 We chat about the problem, you tell me what's going on, and I'll give you honest advice on whether it's something I can help with.
  2. 2 I give you a booking time and estimate, no surprises. You'll know when I'm coming and roughly what it'll cost.
  3. 3 I arrive, fix the problem, and explain what went wrong in plain English, without jargon or technical talk.
  4. 4 Only when the job is done do you pay, no upfront fees. You only pay once you're happy with the work.
5. Do I get a guarantee?
6 Month Guarantee

I stand by my work, so all repairs come with a 6-month guarantee.

What does that really mean for you? Well, this ensures that if your computer breaks down with the same problem within 6 months of my repair, I will fix it free of charge.

Note: The guarantee covers the same fault returning. It doesn't cover new problems, viruses, physical damage, or issues caused by software changes.

That includes parts for the same fault.

6. What can you offer me that others can't?
Mike helping a client with their computer

With me, you always know what to expect:

  • 6-month guarantee on the work I do
  • The benefit of over 17 years of experience and professional hands-on training
  • A price that can't be found on the high street for a service that can't be beaten
  • Personal attention and flexibility

If I can't fix it, you won't pay for my time

7. Bespoke Apps

Do you find yourself doing the same tedious task on your computer over and over again? Copying files, renaming things, updating spreadsheets, sending the same emails? I can help with that.

I build custom Windows applications that automate the boring stuff so you can focus on what actually matters. Every solution is tailor-made to fit exactly how you work, no unnecessary features, no complicated menus, just a tool that does precisely what you need.

Here are some examples of what I can create:

  • Tools to automatically organise and rename files
  • Custom databases to track customers, inventory, or projects
  • Batch processing apps for repetitive tasks
  • Simple utilities that save you clicking through menus
  • Backup solutions tailored to your workflow

The best part? I'll sit down with you, understand exactly what's eating up your time, and build something that genuinely makes your life easier. No jargon, no over-engineering, just practical solutions from someone who's been doing this for over 17 years.

Got an idea or a frustration? Give me a call and let's chat about it. You might be surprised how affordable a custom solution can be.

8. Web Design

Need a website but don't want to pay agency prices? I create simple, effective websites for small businesses and individuals who want to get online without the hassle.

I'm not going to bamboozle you with talk of "synergistic digital solutions" or charge you thousands for features you'll never use. Instead, I'll build you a clean, professional site that does exactly what you need it to do, whether that's showcasing your work, selling a few products, or simply giving customers a way to find and contact you.

What I can help with:

  • Business websites and landing pages
  • Photo galleries and portfolio sites
  • Blogs and personal websites
  • Simple online shops
  • Updating or refreshing your existing site

I'll guide you through the whole process in plain English, help you choose the right hosting, and make sure you actually understand how to update your own content. No mysterious monthly fees for tiny changes, I'll teach you how to do it yourself.
